Sammendrag
A coach can affect the thoughts and cognitions of athletes. The
development of what we consider as success, how we become motivated for physical
activity and how we approach sport is thought to happen partly through the perceived
motivational climate (Nicholls, 1984; 1989; Roberts, 2001).
Purpose of study: The main goal of this project was to find out if there is a form of
coaching legacy, and explore how this legacy is passed on. To find out what this legacy
consisted of, research from achievement goal theory was used to construct and find the
common features that construct a legacy.
