dc.description.abstractA coach can affect the thoughts and cognitions of athletes. The development of what we consider as success, how we become motivated for physical activity and how we approach sport is thought to happen partly through the perceived motivational climate (Nicholls, 1984; 1989; Roberts, 2001). Purpose of study: The main goal of this project was to find out if there is a form of coaching legacy, and explore how this legacy is passed on. To find out what this legacy consisted of, research from achievement goal theory was used to construct and find the common features that construct a legacy.no_NO
